There are several attributes which differs with becoming an expert nurse in a certain field. Thus the following are the standards according to which an expert nurse is differentiated from the novice nurse.

  • According to Standard 5, they develop with the plan by assessing the data from different means and from the evidences so as to provide patients with greater care and treatment to recover fast.
  • According to Standard 3, an efficient nurse take the feedbacks from the doctors and the seniors and respond to them in a positive manner by working on the weak points and providing better care to the patients.

Education Required for Paediatric Nurse

In order to be a paediatric nurse, it is important for one to get registered in RN (Registered nurses). This is achieved through educational or hospital institutes. Further, it requires nursing diploma and for this purpose, it takes about 2 to 3 years to complete (Franklin and Melville, 2015). In this context, it requires different courses like child psychology, anatomy and physiology. This enables to focus over the specific area nurses according to their interest. Nurses who wishes to become advanced practice nurses for specific care for children can become paediatric nurse practitioners. In order to opt for Masters one needs to have Bachelor of Science in Nursing. It takes about 2 to 3 years to complete up with MSN (Scanlon, Smolowitz and Barnes, 2015).

During their education, nurses needs to go through various nursing topics like general psychology, physiology and anatomy, professional nursing concept, professional nursing competencies, etc. For these areas proper education is provided and they are also given with practical experience with children who have actually some sort of issues. They get to identify the issues or problem that are faced by child and meditations are provided to them accordingly. In addition to this, it makes them to think critically, focus on maintaining the capability of practice and to develop proper plane with the help of which proper services can be provided that will help the child to over come their problems (Ross, Barr and Stevens, 2013). Moreover, taking proper precaution is also important area that has to be considered so that wrong meditation is not provided as there are cases that it make the situation more complex.

As per the finding, it can be stated that at all the areas of nursing, it is important to have proper experience so that one will be able to identify the situation and provide them services accordingly. This is possible when nurses get different type of cases to hand which should be done under the supervision of expert who can guide and direct them.
